First real day in the Andes. Spectacular, breath taking, dangerous, are just a few of the many words to describe the day's trips. Elevations ranged from 800 feet to over 12,000 feet. Temperatures ranged from 49F to 106F.
A tractor-trailer went over the edge, apparently three small gauge wires were not enough to keep a 20-ton truck from leaving the roadway, go figure. Even crazier, they were trying to use a tow truck to wench it out of the gorge.
